At Willow Ridge Miniature Herefords, we are striving to produce the high quality Miniature
Hereford cow people are after. We only keep the best cows in our seed stock program
through strict culling. We want a cow that has the following traits:
- Good udder that will be able to support a calf up to weaning time.
- Well proportioned, deep bodied frame.
- Proper Hereford markings.
- Excellent maternal instinct.
- Nice temperament, docile.
- Early maturing and fertile.
Any heifers or cows not exhibiting these traits will not be sold. They will be kept for our commercial herd to supply beef or completely culled.
All our breeding stock females are registered with the Canadian Hereford Association. Their offspring qualify to be registered as well.
Here is just a sample of a few of our Miniature Herefords cows:
AHE Prairie Janice 3F was born June 26, 1996. Her previous
offspring were beautiful little bull calves. She has easy births and she supplies plenty of
milk for her calves. Her temperament is exceptional as she is very docile and easy to handle.

LS Mt Rockette K446 or "Momma cow" was born March 1, 1994. She is an exceptional mother
cow with excellent maternal instincts. A huge udder and a wonderful temperament are just a
few of her fine qualities. Her daughter "Janice" above shows that the temperament is hereditary.

LS MS Silver Mt K438 or "Red" as we call her is another one of our older cows that has a
nice temperament and wonderful Miniature Hereford characteristics. She was also born in March
1994. Her current son "Max" is turning out to be excellent.

Pioneer Mountain Angel 6G has a beautiful friendly nature with a nice feminine look.
She has a very strong maternal instinct as she becomes concerned with newly born calves.
Her first offspring last year was a heifer named Daisy that has her mother's gentle nature
and looks. Since then she has had 2 more great heifers. Info on them will be posted shortly.
