The Buckcherry show was incredible! All 3 bands kicked some serious ass, and the crowd was AWSOME! To everyone who came out early to check out our short set, thank you so much, it was one of the best. We have gained a whole new legion of fans that have been coming on myspace to say hello. Congrads to Jeremy and Jamie who won the free tickets to the show, hope you guys had a great time. Keep your eyes peeled for CHUNK to play the grand opening of a hot new rock club in town, should be a sell out and one hell of a party! Until then, peace...

So, I have 2 names left on my guest list for the Buckcherry show on Feb 20th...I have a million people that would like them, but I thought I would give some fans a shot getting into the show free. I am giving any of you who check this site the chance by writing to us via email at chunkofwhat@telus.net to tell me why you deserve to be on the guest list....I am giving you until Thursday at 5:00 pm. I had to put up the Oilers Logo just to show some spirit. We are confident we are gonna bring it home this year!!! We just cut a few new demos in the studio that I will post up here at some point when we get the mixes. We have also started to write some great new material. We are taking our time with the new songs but hope the wait will be well worth it. Try and make it out the the Alberta's Own Festival this year, looks like they have a great line up and its a great opportunity to come out and support some of the great local talent from around this great province.

Hello all. I put up some new fan pics in the PICS section, as well as a few of Aaron. I have also added a few new links in the LINKS section. We are doing a show in Wainwright in May, keep your eye on the gigs posting for details. We are headed into the studio next Saturday to record a bunch of new material for demos on the next album. Hopefully this summer proves to be busy! Take care and talk to you all soon.

So I have been informed that my last posting (Jan. 5) has caused a bit of a stir at the KINGS KNIGHT. First I want to say that I in no way intended to shed a negative light on the bar or Kevin in anyway. The KNIGHT will remain one of our favorite clubs to play and we have always appreciated the generous support we have received from the club...the incident in question was not a reflection of the bar...and if you read the posting I thank Kevin, the bar and the staff. We have always had nothing but a great time at the Knight and from my experiences this was an isolated incident....my posting was simply an apology to the great fans that ended up in that unfortunate situation, as they are good fans and friends, and by apologizing to them I don't feel that I offended the Kings Knight in anyway, and if I did I apologize to them as well.

Happy New year to everyone! We had one hell of a time at our New Years gig at the Kings Knight..thanks to Kevin and the staff for treating us great. Thanks especially to all the fans who came out and partied with us that night, it was one to remember. I have posted a video of our tribute to Dimebag in the Music section, check it out HERE. Right now we are in the process of picking our 3rd single to be released to radio. We are starting to record demos of our new material for future use on the next album and if you come see a show in the new year you may get to hear a few of them. Hopefully we get out and do a moutain of road work this year and get the word out there... I am going to make an effort to keep the site more up to date this year, and still would love it if someone could donate there skills and time to help us get a new more 'modern' looking site up. As a final note I would like to say that at our new years show a good fan and friend of mine was quite brutally assaulted by one of the clubs bouncers and from witness accounts it was quite extreme. I would like to extend my apologies to him and his family and hope that there experience will not effect their opinion of this band and its music.

Hello all! Thanks to everyone who rocked out to our set at Alberta's Own weekend on Saturday...man was it hot out!! We had a great time though. We are STILL waiting for our NYC pictures from our manager in Toronto, but he just left on holidays so it may be a while. I really want to update our pictures as I know its been a while. Anyone who might have any pics they took at a show recently should email them to us for the site! I added a listing for the INDIEFEST 2004 show in the gigs section. We are also trying to work out a tour to Toronto and back with Rake this September..nothing is solid yet but we are hopeful that it will come together so we can come and show you all out East what a CHUNK show is all about! We just wanted to write to thank all the CHUNK fans out in the border city of Lloydminster. Our fans there have made us #4 on the Goats top 8 at 8 and we are shooting for #1. Keep up the requests and keep spreading the word...you can all take pride that you are the first Canadian city to truly embrace CHUNK and we will show our appreciation in the form of one of most Kick ass Shows Lloydminster has ever seen very soon!!! I just have to say thank you to EVERYONE who came out the CD release show at the Kings Knight on Saturday. It was one of the best shows we have ever played and are more then grateful to all of you who came out to celebrate with us. Also a special thanks to Kevin, Crazy Dave, and all the staff at the Kings Knight for allowing us to put on the show and for treating us like royalty! Your support is appreciated more then you can imagine.....THANK YOU!!

You may have heard "Slightly Different" on the Bear in the last week as they are spinning it a bit...if you do hear it feel free to call them and let them know what you think. The video has also been added to heavy rotation on Much Music's LOUD program....things are slowly starting to roll here....lets hope 2004 is the big one!!!

Hello everyone. Just writing to update you all as to what is up. Friday we are flying to Toronto to shoot a video for Slightly Different. We will shoot all day Saturday and Sunday. The company doing the video has a great concept in mind and we are all very excited about the project.

Still no airplay from the Bear as far as I have heard. Keep phoning in, they have the music, they just need to be hounded!! The album is still slated for release in January, and I will update you all as information becomes available. Once again, hang in there! See you all soon!!

Hey all!!! I got a few things to say. First I want to remind you all to head out to the Kings Knight on SATURDAY for our signing party gig...we expect there to be a huge amount of people out, and we will even be playing a couple new tunes to get your reaction. The album has been remixed at Metal Works and we are flying to Toronto on Sunday morning to go and hear it....from what I have been told, it sounds amazing, I will let you all know how it goes. I am also thinking its time to change the web page...I was thinking we need a more high tech site....so I am wondering if anyone want to donate there skills and time to make us a kick ass web page. We are also going to start up our Fan club and street team soon, so we would like some feedback on what you as a chunk fan would like to see as a member of our fan club...I was thinking about membership style cards that give the holder free or discounted admission to the shows, a deal on merch, a chance to win prizes, etc...what do you think? I also wanted to say congrads to fellow Edmonton band fifth Season for there HUGE deal with Interscope...maybe Edmonton will finally start to get the attention it deserves! Time will tell....make sure you buy there album and ours when they hit the stores and keep us going!!!!! The CD will be out in the stores in September so keep your eyes peeled for the single and video...ciao and see you all on Saturday!

Well all, Toronto was alright...too damn cold, but the showcase at CMW went fairly well. I have to announce that our Manager ERIC ANDERSON has officially resigned from the CHUNK team as a Manager and has assumed an Advisory roll. This was due to an overly hectic work and home schedule. We would like to thank Eric for all his hard work, without him this project would be no further along then when it first started! His advise and contacts will allow CHUNK to continue forward with confidence, thanks! Chunk will be self managed with support from local and national organizations such as Pain Brothers Management, Powersound Studios, and others. Thats all for now. See you all soon!

Hello all! I just uploaded a tune to the music section. It's a track off the new EP. The disc is going to be called "Slightly Different" and it should be out for sale in a few months hopefully. The song I posted is "Not your Fault" and it sounds awsome (I think). We are very happy with the way the EP sounds. The final track count is 7 including our newest song Birth Tragedy. Be sure to come on down to REDS on DECEMBER 20, 2002 for another awsome show!! See you there!

CHUNK are currently in pre-production at Powersound Studios with Phill Anderson. They plan on producing a world class, 6 song EP to be recorded and mixed between Powersound Studios in Edmonton and Metal Works in Toronto, hopefully with the help of Nick Blagona. Get a sneak preview of the EP in the Music section. A show was also added to the Gigs section.

Egg In An Ashtray is now out! You can still get it through email or at the shows, and now you can get it at HMV and A&B Sound (in Edmonton only so far). A whole bunch of new shows were also added to the Gigs section.
