SO, YOU WANT TO MAKE A DOG A PART OF YOUR FAMILY?

The goal of Leith Kennels is to breed thoughtfully and selectively so that we can bring out the best qualities of our Shetland Sheepdogs and Weimaraners.  First of all, our dogs must be a loved and compatible member of the family.  Therefore, we are very selective of possible buyers to ensure that our puppies live in a loving, happy, and caring home.  We want our puppies to be a part of the family.  To make the move to a new home easier, our puppies are raised in our home and well socialized.  We do our best to match our dogs with the right family.  After the sale, we make ourselves available for support and advice for the lifetime of the dog.

Thank you for taking an interest in our Shelties and Weimaraners.  We would appreciate hearing from you, so please take the time to answer the following questions, and return our questionnaire to us.

Other information you wish to tell us.

Our breeding stock is carefully screened, with attention given to potential hereditary problems.  Our adult dogs are all x-rayed and OFA'd for hip dysplasia.  All puppies are sold with vaccinations, veterinary certificate, and feeding recommendations.  CKC registration papers are provided at the completion of the sale of each puppy.

Since no guarantee of show quality can be made at eight weeks of age, and circumstances always change, puppies are sold on co-ownerships and/or non-breeding agreements.  Should the buyer wish to reverse the non-breeding contract at some future date, the contract can be reversed when the dog reaches two years of age, following a satisfactory veterinary health check for hips, elbow and CERFS and at the discretion of the breeder.  Assistance is given to the buyers intending to show, to insure an appropriate choice.

Thank you again for taking time to fill out this questionnaire.  We feel that the Shetland Sheepdog and the Weimaraner are very special breeds, and deserves the best possible homes.  Therefore, if there is any other information you would like to volunteer, please feel free to do so.
