Begbie is owned by Kim Green and Will Halleran of Nelson, B.C.

Begbie has done very well in the show ring and finished his championship with limited showing. He was Reserve Winners Dog at the FCRSCanada 2006 specialty show and the FCRSAlberta 2006 and 2008 specialty shows. Begbie has a Sporting Group 3rd win. The judge commented that he was an "exceptionally sound dog".

Begbie accompanies his owners on their fieldwork and helps to look after their two daughters. In the fall he is an eager and biddable hunting dog, working on both grouse and duck hunts.

His super temperament shines through and when he comes to visit, he gets along very well with everyone, including clinging puppies!
