Week Seven
A Summary of Recent Changes:

We've had almost a week of poop-free nights in the puppy pen. This is always a reason for a big celebration on our part!

The puppies have discovered the joys of pumpkin cookies. At first they rendered them into thousands of crumbs, but they are now capable of eating the whole thing (although it takes them about 10 minutes!).

Chicken backs, ground veggies, oatmeal and ground chicken necks have been added to the menu.

Installation of the puppy ramp over our back stairs - this allows the puppies to get outside without us having to carry them up and down the stairs. They learned how to navigate the ramp very quickly! They are always fast to go down the ramp, but less enthusiastic about going up it, because it means the end of outdoor playtime.

A water dish in the puppy pen, which is a big source of amusement. With water they are now able to make papier mache with their newspaper..... They have also emptied it a few times by digging all the water out of it. They have also been checking out the wading pool, but apart from dipping their noses, tongues and front paws in to it, no one's been the whole way in yet.

They are now able to track things that have been thrown and they are starting to do some short retrieves.

Lupine is really enjoying playing with her puppies. Here she's playing with puppy 1.
This tangle of jingly jangly objects is one of their favourite toys. They love the green bug too (thanks Sarah!)
Puppy 3 demonstrates typical puppy behaviour - sitting quietly one minute, then heading off at full tilt seconds later! Learning to go down the puppy ramp (which looks much steeper than it actually is!)
Chomping on a chicken back
Checking out the biggest water dish they have ever seen
They like their water dish so much that they sleep as close to it as possible
