One of Tally's strongest attributes is her desire and enthusiasm for work of any kind. She easily passed her Working Certificate Test. She got her Junior Hunter title in three straight tries (albeit with 3 years inbetween!). We hunt waterfowl with Tally and she's proven herself to be a steady and skillful hunting retriever in the field. She never gives up looking for a fallen bird, even in difficult situations.

Tally loves obedience work and she has completed her CDX title (companion dog excellent). She won "High in Class" all three times on her way to her title and a High in Trial at the Canadian Specialty. She was the #5 flat-coated retriever in obedience in 2005. When she's "hot", she is a very accurate and stylish dog in obedience.

Tally also races on the Due South scent hurdle team. She has finished her SHDX (scent hurdle dog excellent).

Tally (right) eagerly watches as Andy sets up decoys for an early fall duck hunt. Here she helps to introduce her daughter, Tima, to waterfowl hunting.

Tally is a flashy heeling dog (but like any flat-coat, only when she feels like it!)
