Tinbie has very sound structure and movement. He is very clean-moving with excellent reach and drive and is very sound both coming and going. He has retained this movement as he has matured.
Tinbie is nicely angulated, with slightly more angulation in both the front and the rear than his sire, Huxley. He has terrific bone and substance, a correct croup and tailset, excellent length of neck and a long rib cage. He has a lovely head, with a long, deep muzzle, good eye shape and pleasing expression. His eyes are gradually darkening as he ages. His feet are deep, strong and tight. His coat is a rich dark colour and of correct texture, although like all our livers, he does bleach in our summer sun.
Tinbie has had some success in the show ring, finishing his championship very quickly, from the 6-9 month puppy class. On his way to his championship, he won three Best Puppy in Sporting Groups. At the FCRSA 2007 specialty, he placed 2nd in his puppy sweepstakes class. At the FCRSA 2008 specialty he won the bred-by exhibitor class and then went on to win Winners Dog and a Judge's Award of Merit. Unfortunately we were unaware that he could not be entered in the bred-by class under his CKC number, so we did not get to keep the 5 point major win. We still love him though!
At the FCRSC specialty in 2009 Tinbie made it into the very final cut of about 15 dogs out of 127 entered.
