The puppies enjoyed a visit from one of their future families today. They loved all the attention and having so many laps to climb into and people to play with. This is an important part of their socialization with people of all ages.

Their horizons have expanded and we now let them loose in our kitchen, where they can race around and play with their toys. Tala and her owner are visiting and Adrienne has been a great help with herding puppies and cleaning up poop! Tala is quite interested in her little sisters and brothers, but I think she is secretly relieved that Adrienne is not taking one home!

The weather has been too cold over the last few days to let them outside very much, but that should change soon. On the weekend, Liz took some of our dogs to a fun match and won a big basket of toys. The puppies have been having a great time with the new toys!  They especially like the giant hamburger and we are amazed that they are able to carry it around, even though it's almost as big as they are.

While we were playing with the puppies, we suddenly noticed that one of them had a sticker from one of the new toys stuck to his back. It reads "Go Ahead - Pull me apart!". We were wondering if one of the other puppies put it on him as a practical joke?!! Typical flat-coat comedians!

We are too tired to write very much, but here are some photos from today's outdoor adventures!

As you can see from the photos above, the puppies are getting quite agile. They love to climb and clamber over things. They are also entering the hooligan stage, where they are quite capable of ripping newspaper, cardboard and anything else they can get their teeth into! This will only get worse over the next couple of weeks, but then there is usually a gradual improvement before they go to their homes.

We try to introduce the puppies to something new every day. The tunnel was a huge hit and most of the puppies were scampering through it as soon as we put it out. When we brought it inside yesterday evening, all of the puppies were running through it. Next step - a longer tunnel!

We get quite a few comments about our puppy photos and have fans all over the world! It seems that it's not just people that are enjoying the photos:

Our friend Sarah sent us this photo of her flatcoat, Kaleb, sneaking a peak at the puppy portraits.

The weekend brought more visitors, more play sessions and more time outside. What could be better?! As well as the tunnel, the puppies were introduced to a mini A-frame. It was very entertaining to watch what they did with it!

The puppies are getting very adept at carrying things around. If it's not fixed down, they will pick it up and retrieve it.

Photographing puppies is not as easy as it used to be.....when they see us sitting on the ground, they rush over for snuggles! Here, Andy gets swarmed!
Yippee, #8 puppy gets it right!
