Welcome to a great site of Canadiana links! This page contains a collection of resources (primarily visual) that are especially useful for Social Studies 10 teachers in the province of Alberta.
Why should I use this site?
This site is different from many other links pages because I have designed the links to take you directly to a specific picture, chart, map, or piece of text. This eliminates hours of surfing through layers of web pages for something you can use in the classroom. If you have an on-line computer in class (or better yet, a computer screen projector), you can use this page as you teach!
Who researched these links?
My name is Lloyd Grosfield. I am a teacher of Social Studies 10 at Concordia High School in Edmonton, Alberta. I have taught Social Studies 10 for more than twelve years and like most teachers I am constantly searching for new teaching approaches along with up-to-date resources. Using the Internet in the class has lots of possibilities, but it is very easy to become swamped with information. I have kept this page very practical and easy to use.
The various links have been arranged by topic and
theme according to the Alberta Social Studies 10 curriculum. Just click on the
highlighted links and you will be taken directly to the desired image, text, or map.
Please feel free to contact me at the e-mail address below if you have
