Comments provided by participating teachers and compiled by Russ Bischoff, VP at Penbrooke Elementary School, Calgary,  regarding an all-day in-service I conducted for teachers from three schools, November, 2005.

Lyle,
The feedback from the workshop was very positive. Staff was impressed
with the sequencing.
*        This workshop changed some previous assumptions I had about writing
and teaching writing
*    It really emphasized the time frame that is needed to have students
break down their writing into stages
*    Fantastic!  Using story telling as a means of teaching students the
elements of writing is very powerful
*    Focusing on the process of writing will be beneficial to me and the
students
*    The details that were provided for each stage of writing was
excellent
*    Sharing our own experiences and creating stories with students is an
excellent idea.  Modelling is powerful
*    This is a very good process that will motivate students to be writers

Thanks again Lyle.
Have a great Holiday season
Russ Bischoff
