A
Cabin in the Wilderness
Situated high on the Pinnacle Meadow of the Brisco Range, the Diana
Lake cabin is a remote alpine cabin, accessible by helicopter. For
the more actively involved, it also can be reached by a fairly strenuous
2 to 3 hour hike up Pinnacle Creek from the end of a remote forestry
road.
We offer guests a wilderness retreat amid rustic comfort. Well
established trails lead through vast meadow lands to mountain
ridges and adjoining valleys. In the summer the meadows are filled
with wildflowers, Fall changes larch to the gold of Indian Summer.Winter
fills the valley with snow and the swish of cross-country skis
breaks the silence of the crisp winter days. Join us for a wilderness
adventure vacation.
Everything is included in your stay, including food and a chef/housekeeper
. Your private cabin is very well equipped with propane heat,
hot water, showers, lights, a wood stove, gas range and fridge.
The staff have a separate cabin to insure privacy.
This is a unique opportunity to stay in a private remote alpine
cabin and enjoy the tranquility and solitude of a high alpine
meadow (7500 feet to be exact) . Flower filled meadows, abundant
wildlife a pristine lake full of trout and much more.
Bette Middler (Music star) even stayed here once to enjoy the
solitude and savor the clean mountain air.
Facilities like this are very rare in the Banff area, almost
unheard of. Other so called backcountry lodges are located right
off of busy highways and filled with many guests, our cabin/lodge
is truly and splendidly isolated.
The
lodge has a radio with phone interconnect in case any problems
arise along with many other necessities, just bring your warm
clothing, sturdy hiking boots and your camera.
Fishing in Diana lake is something else , because the lake is
so isolated, the fish are abundant. Fat Dolly Varden char, Rainbow
and Cutthroat trout up to 6 lbs are common here.
(Valid B.C. fishing license is required, please ask in advance
