History of Montessori

Dr. Maria Montessori was born in 1870 in Italy.

• 26 years later she graduated from the Faculty of Medicine.
• She was the 1st female doctor.
• She was a dedicated scientist & educator
• She 1st worked with mentally challenged;
  she then applied the same method to normal children to nourish their development.
• She died in 1952. Her way of teaching is alive and continues to grow
