Reeve: James Isidore McDermott (official Reeve). No
councillors. Secretary-Treasurer: A. E Cunning.

Jan. 5/1918 - A. D. Fidler to the Deputy Minister, to
inform him that no nomination had been made for 1918,
and interest was taken in past years as the mining was
steady work, but when the mine slacksoff and men are
idle they agitate for a Council elected by the people. Mr.
Fidler goes on to recommend Mr.J. I. McDermott to act
as Official Reeve.

Jan. 9/ 1918 Minist6er of Municipal Affairs appoints James Isidore
McDermott, Merchant, as Official Reeve for 1918.
