Annie Gray Black

Harry Black, born in Wales, immigrated to Canada.
Arriving at Coalhurst, he was employed as an engineer
in the Coalhurst Mine; while farming N. 1/2 S.E.10-9-22.
After the mine closed Harry Black worked for Fraches
Flowers firing boilers in Lethbridge. During the
Second World War he worked for No. 8 Bombing and
Gunnery School.

Harry married Annie Gray shortly after the First World War.
They had two children, a son who served in the war and
married a girl from England, eventually settling in Boston,
Massachusetts. A daughter, Alice Black married Dan
Wilson, Dec.19, 1932. Dan worked for the Lethbridge
Northern. Alice and Dan resided at Park Lake until
their deaths, when they both drowned in a boating
accident in 1940.
