Lars Carlsen

Seven Persons - Once Hundred Sixty Acres and a Dream
As the Story was Told

Anton Carlsen's two brothers came to Canada, too. As homesteading didn't appeal to them, Chris moved to San Francisco and John returned to Denmark. In 1929, John's son Lars came to live with Anton. He worked at farm labor for different farmers. When war was declared, he joined the services and spent some years overseas. When he returned he became a construction and maintenance worker. His special hobbies were repairing radios, driving motorcycles and operating large machinery. Lars was well known in the Seven Persons community.
