(formerly the Bridgend School District)

-March 25, 1911, the Bridgend School District No. 2394
was established.

-The Bridgend School District No. 2394 was comprised of
the following lands: - Sections 14, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22
and 23; those portions of Sections 13 and 24 lying West, and
that portion of Section 18 lying East of the Belly River, in
Township 9, Range 22, West of the Fourth Meridian.

-The Senior Trustee at the time was Archibald Morrison, of
Kipp, Alberta.

-September 11, 1911, The Bridgend School District No. 2394
was declared to be a Village District.

- December 4, 1911, Approval was given, for a site that was
selected, situated at a point near the North-east corner of the
South-east quarter of Section 21, in Township 9, Range 22,
West of the Fourth Meridian.

-March 15, 1912, The Bridgend School District No. 2394
borrowed the sum of Twelve thousand dollars, upon the
Security of the District, for the purpose of erecting and
equipping a School House.

-The Treasurer at the time was D. MacNeil, of Kipp, Alberta.

-December 7, 1917, The name of the School District was
changed from the Bridgend School District to the Coalhurst
School District.

-August 12, 1920, The Coalhurst School District No. 2394
borrowed the sum of Twenty thousand Dollars, upon the
security of the District, for the purpose of building a four-
roomed brick School House with the necessary toilet
buildings, fence and playground and buildings, heating
arrangements, furnishings and fittings.

-The Treasurer at the time was Jno. H. Turner, of
Coalhurst, Alberta.

-July 4, 1924, The Coalhurst School District No. 2394
borrowed the sum of Six Thousand dollars, on the security
of the District for the purpose of purchasing a School site
and erecting and equipping a two-room frame School
Building therein.

-The Treasurer at the time was R. J. Haugen, of Coalhurst,
Alberta.

-August 5, 1927, The Coalhurst School District No. 2394
borrowed the sum of Nine thousand dollars, on the security
of the district for the purpose of moving a four-room School
building and heating system about two thousand feet to
School site, providing concrete foundation, excavation
for heating system and re-installing and repairing
present heating systems, building a two-room School
building with equipment and heating system for the same.

- The Treasurer at the time was A. E Cunning, of Coalhurst,
Alberta.

-March 1, 1928, The following lands were added:

-The West half of Section 26, in Township 9, Range 22,
West of the Fourth Meridian.

-January 2, 1929, The following lands were added:

-The North halves of Sections 10 and 11; and that portion
of the North half of Section 12 lying West of the Oldman River,
in Township 9, Range 22, West of the Fourth Meridian.

-March 7, 1929, The following lands were withdrawn:

-The North-west quarter of Section 10; the South half of the
North-east quarter of Section 10, and that portion of the North
half of Section 12 lying West of the Oldman River, in Township
9, Range 22, West of the Fourth Meridian.

-September 20, 1930, Howard Start, of Coalhurst, Alberta was
appointed the Attendance Officer for the Coalhurst School District.

-January 21, 1937, The Coalhurst School District No. 2394 was
constituted in the Lethbridge School Division No. 7.

-December 9, 1937, The following lands were added:

-All that portion of the North-east quarter of Section 9, in
Township 9, Range 22, West of the Fourth Meridian,
lying North-east of the South Westerly limit of the C.P.R.
Right-Of-Way.

-July 24, 1943, Approval was given, for a site for a
Teacher's Residence, consisting of Lots 21 and 26 i
nclusive in Block 5. (according to a Plan of Record in
the Land Titles Office for the South Alberta Land
Registration District as Bridgend 2912 D. I.)

-August 27, 1943, Approval was given, for an addition
to the Site for a Teacher's Residence, being Lot 30, in
Block 5 (according to a Plan of Record in the Land Titles
office for the South Alberta Land Registration District
as Bridgend 2912 D.I.)

-April 23, 1945, The following area was declared to be
a Hamlet:

-Legal Subdivisions 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 16; and
those portions of Legal Subdivisions 3 and 4, which lie to
the North of the South limit of First Street (as shown on
registered Plan No. 2605 A.L.) all in Section 21, Township
9, Range 22, West of the Fourth Meridian. That portion
of the North-west quarter of Section 20 in Township 9,
which lies North and East of the South-westerly limit
of the Crowsnest branch of the Canadian Pacific Railway.
That portion of the North-west quarter of Section 22 in
Township 9, which lies South and East of the South-
easterly limit of the Kipp-North easterly branch of the
Canadian Pacific Railway; and that portion of the South-
west quarter of Section 22 in Township 9.

-August 7, 1947, The Coalhurst School District No. 2394
was resubdivided into Subdivision No. 2, of the Lethbridge
School Division No. 7.

-October 25, 1951, Approval was given, for an addition to
the school site; described as:

-Lots 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, Block 1, Plan 2605 A.L.
Bridgend, and The South half of Block 1, Bridgend Plan
6768 D.E

-October 14, 1952, Approval was given, for an addition
to the present school site; described as:

-Lots I to 8 - Block 2 - Plan 2605 A.L. Bridgend-Coalhurst.

-December 31, 1953, The Coalhurst School District No. 2394
was resubdivided into Subdivision No. 5, of the Lethbridge
School Division No. 7.

-July 24, 1955, Approval was given, for the sale of Lots 25
and 26-Bridgend 2912-DI-Coalhurst.

-September 26, 1955, Approval was given, for the sale of Lots
24 and 30-Block 5-Bridgend 2912 Coalhurst.

-October 17, 1957, Approval was given, for the sale of the
Elementary School and Teacherage.

-January 1, 1964, The Municipal District of Lethbridge No.
25, and the Lethbridge School Division No. 7 were formed
into the County of Lethbridge No. 26.

-The Coalhurst School District No. 2394 was included
in this County.
