George Culp and Minnie Culp

Pinepound Reflections - A History of
Spring Coulee and District page 232
written by Committee

George and Minnie Culp came from Morrison Illinois with George's sister Sadie Rice in 1910.

They farmed near Spring Coulee and had a house in Spring Coulee. George and Minnie had a daughter named Minnie who married Bert Ackeberg, and they had two daughters.

George farmed with mules instead of horses. Minnie was always a great help in the community and church.

Their daughter Minnie died when her daughter was born and Bert died in the 1918 flu epidemic. The Culps raised their daughter Minnie's two daughters.
