Alfred Widnell Dimsdale homesteaded the NE I/4 36-1-21-W4th
and had the NW 1/4 36-1-21-W4th as a pre-emption. He lived
in the Fishburn district, and made arrangements for Mr. Guthrie
to do the necessary work on his homestead and pre-emption.
He died in 1916 at the age of eighty-five years, and is buried
at Fishburn. His land at Shanks Lake was assigned to his
son Lawrence E. Dimsdale.
