James H. Foggin was born on July 26,1885 in
Yorkshire, England. He came to Canada with
his brother Joe and Ernie Dalton. They got
harvest jobs at Portage La Prairie, then came to
Lethbridge and worked on construction.

In 1912 he stood in line at the land office,
and got the homestead in Del Bonita.

In 1916 he joined the army. Later in 1916
he married Annie Shannon in Medicine Hat.

He went overseas in 1917 and returned when
the war was over. He got a job with the
City of Medicine Hat and then later moved
to Lethbridge and worked in the post office.
They moved to the homestead in December 1919,
and retired in 1955. They both passed away
in 1972.

They had four children: one son and three
