Hacke Post Office

Heritage of the High Country
A History of Del Bontia and
surrounding Districts Page 61

Hacke Post Office established 1-6-1914
Name changed to Twin River 1-7-1922

On May 6, 1914 the announcement came that Hacke Post
Office had been granted to Township 1, Range 20, with
William Hacke as postmaster. This was good news to the
settlers in that area as they had travelled to Milk River,
Raymond, or Magrath for mail.

On June 1, 1914, the Hacke Post Office in the electoral
district of Lethbridge was established. It was located in the
William Hacke home, and mail was brought once a week
from Magrath with a stop at the Del Bonita Post Office on
the way.

The following is a list of the postmasters who served the
post office.
