Charlie Hurrell was born in England on November 4, 1905 and lived
there until 1928 when he came to the Coalhurst area with Charlie
Watmough Sr. He married Ivy Watmough and had a family of five,
three sons and two daughters. Charlotte May was born July 13, 1938.
She married and moved to Ontario where she passed away August 15,
1982. Charlie joined the Canadian Army and served overseas during
World War II. After returning to Canada, Charlie went to Spring Coulee
where he was employed by S.M.R.1.D. as a cook.
