Elmer came to the Del Bonita area in 1924 with his parents, Frank and Charlottie Langworthy. He farmed with his dad on the Ledgerwood place. In 1936 Elmer's dad went to live with his daughter Mildred, and Elmer carried on with the farming.
In 1949 Elmer married Reine M. (Amelia) Blampaine and they rented the farm to Hank Graveland. They moved to Red Deer where they lived for two or three years, and then moved back to Lethbridge.
Elmer passed away in 1960. Amelia sold the farm in 1970 to Ed Newton.
Amelia passed away in 1978. Elmer and Amelia were both buried in Lethbridge.
