James and Mary McMahon

James and Mary McMahon were married in 1923
in Taber and settled in Coalhurst when James
was an electrician at the mine.

James was born in Scotland and came to Taber just
before W.W. 1. He enlisted and went back overseas.
Upon his return he worked at the Taber mine, then
moved to Coalhurst in 1922. He loved playing soccer
and played on several teams, lastly the captain of the
Supina Team.

Mary was born in B.C. and upon completion of High
School moved to Taber to live with an Aunt and
worked at the Bank of Commerce.

They had a daughter born in 1926 and a son born
in 1931. The family move into Lethbridge in 1938.
