In 1966, the Programme de recherche en dmographie historique(PRDH, Research Programme in Historical Demography) at the Universit de Montral undertook the exhaustive reconstruction of the population of Quebec from the beginnings of French colonization in the seventeenth century. Database includes the repertory of vital events in Quebec 1621-1798, genealogical dictionary of families 1621-1765, repertory of couples and filial relations 1621-1799.
