Steve and Mary Seiller

Taken from "Our Treasured Heritage-
A History of Coalhurst and District
Page 509

Steve and Mary Seiller came to Canada, from Hungary, in 1930.
Along with their one and a half year old son, they settled in the
Picture Butte area. Steve worked on farms in the Picture
Butte and Diamond City area until 1937.

They moved to the Coalhurst area and rented the 'Ermacora'
farm which is now the 'Wesselman' farm. Steve also rented
the Doug Adams place (1938), J. I. McDermott land (1939),
and Doc Rusk's farm (1940). In 1943, he purchased the Bates
homestead. A few years later, he also purchased the Doc Rusk
farm. He farmed until 1964 when his wife, Mary, passed away.
Steve then retired and moved first into Coalhurst, and later
Lethbridge. He passed away in 1968.

There were four Seiller children; three sons and one daughter.
There are also twelve grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
