Melitta Styner

Taken from "Our Treasured Heritage-
A History of Coalhurst and District
Page 524

When she left the farm, Mrs. Styner and her daughter moved to
Coalhurst in 1970. At that time she bought three lots east of
Coalhurst which was known as the Dutch Church. The same
year she bought a house from John Fekete and had it moved.
The church was torn down, but her home still remains. Mrs.
Styner was known by many children as "Grandma Styner".
Grandma Styner loved animals and always had a few around.

Grandma Styner continued to live in Coalhurst until she was
plagued by ill health. She spent some time in Lethbridge
Hospital and later was moved to the Crowsnest Pass Hospital
where her son looked after her until her passing on June 4, 1981.
Mom will always be remembered by her daughter as they were
very close.

Mrs. Styner had ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
