| Tested in the most rigorous conditions, NORTH PEACE packs are unequalled in comfort and performance. They are precisely designed, engineered and manufactured to fit every body type for any load or activity. The NORTH PEACE TEAM consulted a wide range of athletes and outdoor experts in order to arrive at the final designs.
All of our packs are constructed with the most advanced durable and abrasion-resistant lightweight fabrics. The frame systems used in our packs are made of the most advanced framing materials. Superior materials, professional designs, and flawless workmanship have earned our NORTH PEACE packs the highest recognition and praise among outdoor experts. It is our mission to bring these outstanding packs to the family outdoor enthusiast at a price you can truly afford.
The NORTH PEACE TEAM has conducted extensive product design analysis on packs. Humans upright posture leaves us with serious and sensitive structural problems with our backs. Carrying any loads on our head, shoulders or backs can produce severe strain on the delicate bone structure of the spinal column and associated muscles. Extensive research has demonstrated . that the safest and most comfortable placement of loads is on the pelvic area (the lower back and hips). This area of our bodies has evolved to carry the weight of the upper body Due to the structure of the pelvic area, the weight of any load is distributed comfortably and safely through the hips and into the legs and feet. Many of the internal frame backpacks on the market today fail to fully capitalize on this research. These internal frame designs should more correctly be called reinforced bags. Although some have shoulder straps and / or hip belts connected to the bag with separate metal strips that make the pack appear rigid, they are not true frame systems. A frame is, by definition, a structure which carries a load. Few backpacks are designed to distribute the load effectively over the pelvic area. Most hip belts attempt to transfer the load over the pelvis but, in fact, such belts distribute only part of the load. Backpacks that do not have true frames and attempt to distribute the load over the pelvis through hip belts can create extensive stress on body muscle systems that can cause serious fatigue and potential injury. As a fundamental principle, a properly designed backpack will focus the load weight on the bones of the sacrum located in the centre of the pelvis between the buttocks and hips. This area consists of very strong, rigid vertebrae which have evolved to carry heavy loads. THE NORTH PEACE SOLUTION NORTH PEACE is proud to introduce the first ultra light personally contoured DYNAFORM Backpack Frame and Harness System on our larger packs used for extensive back-country travel with heavy loads in variable terrain. The very heart of the NORTH PEACE backpack is a true internal frame system comprised of a specially designed and contoured aluminum triangle providing an extremely strong frame capable of bearing a large load force. The design of this triangular frame focuses the weight of the backpack load on the pelvis with the bulk of this load concentrating on the sacrum. The floating hip belt transfers some of the load to the remaining parts of the pelvis leaving the shoulders free to carry only a minimal weight. The NORTH PEACE DYNAFORM Backpack Frame and Harness System is guaranteed to provide you with the most comfortable, balanced and safe backpack load bearing design.
Why no Lumbar Pad? When carrying any load in a backpack over uneven terrain, a lumbar pad introduces two undesirable elements. The first factor is that the lumbar area of each person varies in shape and size. This area of our body also changes shape constantly during physical activities. A static lumbar pad is unable to prevent considerable force being exerted on the lower spinal region. The NORTH PEACE DYNAFORM Backpack Frame and Harness System allows the lumbar area the freedom to change and adjust during the rigours of backpacking. It is particularly important that the unique physical differences between men and women be accommodated in the design of the NORTH PEACE DYNAFORM Backpack Frame and Harness System so that when your pack adjustments are complete, you have your own personally designed backpack that meets your personal physical needs. Static lumbar pads also produce heat. Heat on muscle generates fatigue. The NORTH PEACE DYNAFORM Backpack Frame and Harness System allows for better ventilation and is significantly cooler thereby reducing muscle fatigue. The end result of our intensive research into backpack designs has allowed NORTH PEACE to develop the DYNAFORM Backpack Frame and Harness System which correctly loads the strongest part of your body resulting in more comfort and less fatigue. Combined with the free floating hip belt, our approach to backpack design allows the pack to remain stable yet it freely follows the complex shape and movements of your body, even when you are in the most uneven terrain. |
