The purpose of this site is to provide images and information on past and present drag racers, tracks and cars.  I would like to acknowledge the recent publication of the excellent book “The Speediest Land Traveller” written by Richard McDonell that provides really good information on all forms of racing including:  race tracks, big name racers and racing history primarily at Edmonton and Calgary.

This book does a very good job on the bigger picture of Alberta Drag Racing history and is an absolutely invaluable resource and deserving of a spot in your personal library.

But there is much more that needs to be presented especially in terms of the racers and their cars.  Hopefully this site can help provide/and or “kickstart” the beginning of a pictorial supplement with more of a racer focus.
