Epi Info A DOS-based word-processing, database and statistics program for epidemiology. Can be used for questionnaire construction, data entry and analysis. Manual is included in the software, or can be purchased by mail. A Windows version should be available in the near future. Can be downloaded from the CDC.
Epi Map A DOS-based program of geographic maps of countries, states, provinces, counties, etc. Can be used to display counts or rates. Manual is included in the software. Can be downloaded from the CDC.
DoEpi A DOS-based program containing a series of studies and exercises designed to epidemiology and the use of Epi Info. To use DoEpi, Epi Info must also be installed on your computer. Can be downloaded from the CDC.
Olyx A demo program of an injury data analysis package for Windows 3.1 (or higher) or Windows95. Also requires the installation of Microsoft Excel 5.0. Developed by the Research Unit in Primary Health, Ibrio and Asic AB, Karlsborg, Sweden.
SSS1 Designed for Box Jenkins Time Series analysis, robust trend analysis and comparing two sources of surveillance data. Manual is included with the software. Can be downloaded from the CDC.
Win Episcope Epidemiologic program for calculating sample size, and for use in analysis of case-control and cohort studies. Developed by Veterinary Faculty, University of Zaragoza, Spain, and the Department of Animal Husbandry, Wageningen Agricultural University, Netherlands.
WinEpi Ratios Epidemiologic program from the developers of Win Episcope. Used to
calculate different measurements of disease (prevalence, incidence, cumulative incidence,
case-fatality rate, mortality rate).
