A Genealogy program for Newton devices

I have started to make some changes to Relations from requests I have received. It has been slow going since I don't find a lot of time at one stretch to work on it. So I have decided to make the program available in stages as I make the changes. If you are interested in working with the latest version you can download it here. Please note that this is a work in progress so treat it as beta software. I try to ensure any changes or additions are working correctly before releasing, even in this "beta" form, but I don't have as much time for testing as I would like.

I thought if I don't do this it will take forever to allow users to work with some of the requested changes.

Nov. 18, 99: (Download Relations Utility for Mac or for PC)

• Added an option to de-install all Relations files and preferences (this allows you to start over entering individuals with numbering starting back at 1)

Mar. 4, 99: (Download Relations for Mac or for PC)

• Re-wrote the Individual report for printing/faxing, with options to:
  • Print lines for blank fields
  • Print notes for individual
  • Print notes for all others

Feb. 18, 99: Download for Mac or for PC

• Added delete button to Place Names list
• Added option to tap on the Father or Mother name in the Detail view to jump to that record
• Relations Utility (RU) - Added a new scroller control to display file view
• RU - Added option to check the import file for valid individual/family numbers
• RU - Changed the way names are handled during import

Note: The Place Names delete button can be used to remove bad entries, but it does not do any checking through your data to see if it is still in use. If you remove an entry that is still pointed to by some other record, you will see "** Not Found **" instead.

This release runs on Newton OS2.0 only. If you have Newton OS1.x look for my earlier release of Relations v1.2.
