PPL Activities

Power Procurement
The original intent of PPL was to act as a wholesale power supplier to shareholder REAs.  This task continues to be the most critical aspect of PPL's activities.  We continue to seek out the lowest price possible from suppliers and will continue to do so for the sole benefit of our shareholders and their members.

Marketing & Promotion
Along with procurement efforts, PPL believes that promoting and empowering rural Alberta is also one of our more critical tasks.  PPL will continue this effort through our active memberships in important industry associations (IPPSA and ARUA) and through our support of Connections Magazine.  We will continue to seek out like-minded REAs to join our group in the hopes of expanding our influence and abilities.

Government Relations/Regulatory
PPL continues to be very active in the area of relations and communication with our provincial government.  We understand very well the importance of ensuring our voice is heard with legislators around the province.  We strive to identify issues that are important to our shareholders and beneficial to their members.

Value-Added Initiatives
PPL will continue to seek out opportunities that add value to our shareholders.  These types of activities will include, but not be limited to, green power initiatives such as Wind and Biomass.
