Some of our offspring have done very well at summer shows, and are proven
service sires with several wins in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Naturally we look
for excellent temperament and conformation in our service sires, as well as a
good crimpy, dense fibre.
We manage over 200 alpacas on 138 acres of land west of the town of Olds in south-central Alberta, Canada. All our feed is produced on this land and we pay strict attention to the nutritional component required by our alpacas. Alpacas convert grass and hay energy very efficiently and thrive without consuming too much water. They are very sensitive to their environment, as they browse on the native grasses. Nutrition impacts the rate of fibre growth and it also affects the fineness. We pay as much attention to nutrition as we do to pedigree and fibre quality.
