Little Red Deer River
The Little Red Deer River joins the red Deer River just downstream of Dickson Dam, 20 km south of Innisfail. It contains good numbers of Brown Trout but they can be difficult to locate because the river can be fairly shallow.
The best access is by taking the Little Red Deer road just west Innisfail or by traveling west from Bowden until you reach Red Lodge.
Tubing is popular during the summer at Red Lodge Park west of Bowden. Due to the gentle nature of the current you can tube all afternoon without really going anywhere and walk back to your vehicle quite easily.
Camping is available at Gleniffer Lake or at Red Lodge Park.
