The Peace Country Amateur Radio Club is the largest Amateur Radio club in the Peace Country area. We have members from all areas of the Peace Country from Grande Prairie to Beaverlodge to Peace River to Valleyview. We are affiliated with and support the Radio Amateurs of Canada organization. They are the voice of all Canadian Amateurs in Ottawa and need your support to represent us.

We support or own the following repeaters: VE6BL 146.850- in Beaverlodge, VE6OL 147.060- in the Burnt Hills area, VE6YK 147.240+ in Valleyview, VE6LGL 146.360+ in Grande Prairie (this repeater is an autopatch), VE6XN 147.150+ in Grande Prairie and VE6DIG (the digipeater) 145.010 in Grande Prairie.

Peace Country Amateur Radio Club Station

We have our own club station that operates under the call signs VE6ARC and VE6RCG. The station is located at the Grande Prairie Regional College overlooking the reservoir which is above Muskoseepi Park. The facility was donated to the club from the Grande Prairie Regional College. At the station we have the equipment to make contacts on HF, VHF, RTTY and packet. The station has been setup for use in civil emergencies or disasters and to train our new amateurs in the proper operating procedures on all of the above modes.
