Burn Some Wood Cookout - 14 Oct 2001 Come on out to Elk Island National Park (east of Edmonton) on October 14th for the last social event of the year! Arrive when you want, enjoy the brisk fall out-doors, eat what you want (bring your own food & drink), and leave when you like. We'll have one, or two, or three fires going (depends on how many people come out and how many pits are free) so you can all roast your what-have-yous yourselves. If you have a BBQ fork, they work wonderfully as hot-dog or marshmallow sticks... as green wood around the lake area is scarce. Alternatively, a load of tin-foil will work to keep stuff separated from the fire. Hope to see you all there. Detailed directions are in the October newsletter, which members should have recently received. Speaking of newsletters, if things work out, the November newsletter may be available at the event, if not, it'll be at the meeting on the 18th. Richard
