David Thompson Highway Tour 21 Jul 01 Read the August Newsletter article! The sixth annual David Thompson Highway Cruise is the following Saturday, July 21. I have mailed out newsletters to those club members who are not on e-mail so that they can get details on this event early enough... but the rest of you will have to read this. Meet at Gateway Park at 7:30am as we're leaving promptly at 8am. If you're stopping for gas at the Ellerslie service road, the merge onto Highway 2 and the exit into Gateway Park overlap, so either time things right or head out the back road back north to Ellerslie Road to make the exit into Gateway Park that much easier. Bring a bag lunch and drinks, as we will be stopping for lunch, either at Siffleur Falls or Moraine Lake, depending on when people are hungry. This is an all-day event, but you're of course more than able to stop and overnight in Banff or Canmore if you wish. Dinner will be in Red Deer, and it looks as if we'll be heading for a restuarant. Of course, enough tunes, sun-screen (the order for sunny weather's already been put in), etc is up to you.
