Kelowna Topless Sun Run 2001 - May 25-27

Well, for those of you who didn't go to Kelowna, you certainly missed an excellent event.

Veterans from last year's event, Wayne S & Adele G and Ken & Heidi V, were joined by Ron & Leanne V and Brenda & myself. In contrast, there were probably 12-15 cars from Calgary's club... we need more next year!!!!

The weather was excellent (unlike last year's mixed bag), ranging from 16 in the morning to nearly 30 in the afternoon... with nothing but sun save for a bit of cloud and the odd 10 minute springle on Sunday's drive. All told, there were 104 Miatas in attendance on Saturday, with 21 staying for Sunday's events. Pictures can be viewed here and here.

By the way, we made the June 1st issue of the Kelowna Daily Courier newspaper... the lead-in features an "above-the-fold" picture, and is followed up by an article with group picture written by the Courier's John Manchester (yes, that's Richard's blue & striped '90 in middle front).

Plan ahead for next year though... the weekend after the Victoria Day long-weekend.
