10 Year Anniversary - 26 September 2004

Richard ("the Prez") and Brenda Are Presented with Club 10 Year Anniversary Awards At the end of the Fall Colours Run, just before everyone went into Katie's Crossing Restaurant in south Sherwood Park for a bite to eat, a presentation was made to Richard and Brenda to commemorate and celebrate the 10 Year Anniversary of the Wild Rose Miata Club. Richard has been President since the club's inception, and remains the primary motivator and driver for its continuance and growth. We didn't forget Brenda, who has had to put up with Richard's meetings, newsletter writing, autocross racing, driving events, and general administration of the club all that time. Brenda was presented a large basket of flowers as a token of the member's appreciation for her long-suffering understanding. The two of them also received a handful of Edmonton-based business gift certificates to use as they please. In appreciation for his hard work and continued stewardship in running the club and nurturing its growth, Richard was presented with a custom hand-made sculpture: a Miata steering wheel through which was interwoven a small roadway... on the road travels a miniature replica of Richard's blue-with-twin-white-stripes '90 Miata. An inscription above an image of Alberta's Provincial Flower and the club's logo, the Wild Rose, reads Wild Rose Miata Club - Edmonton
