All British Field Meet 1999

Well, being as the Edmonton Corvette Club's slalom for this Saturday (June 19th) has been cancelled, that leaves us all available to head over to the Edmonton Aviation Heritage Museum (the old hanger at the City Centre Airport on Kingway Avenue) to take in this year's bi-annual All British Field Meet (not really in a field this time... even if it's at one).

From what I remember from the one two years ago... things should be fully running by around 11:00am or so. I don't know if we can get anything organized by then so as to be able to show up en-mass, but I do suggest going.

One of the cars out there will be an extra-special MG-A Twin Cam, which made an appearance at tonight's meeting. The owner has been painstakingly converting it to a 1.6L Miata twin-cam. All else is MG-A, but now it has a very reliable, fuel injected motor in it (same displacement, nearly the same power 100bhp stock MG-A, 116bhp MG-A -- Miata). After we were done oohing and aahing, I was lucky enough to get a ride in it... very nice indeed!
