Welcome to the Grande Prairie RCMP Detachment website.  This site is maintained by the Grande Prairie Detachment to keep the community of Grande Prairie and surrounding areas, including Sexsmith, Clairmont, Grovedale and Wembley, informed of the many programs available in the area.  Should you have any suggestions as to information you would like to see, please contact us.

The Grande Prairie Detachment consists of both Provincial and Municipal employees, policing both the City of Grande Prairie and the surrounding rural areas.  All employees report to an Inspector In Charge.   As of April 1st, 2002 the Grande Prairie Enforcement Services (formerly known as the By-Law Enforcement Section of the City of Grande Prairie), amalgamated under the direction of the RCMP. Working closely with the detachment are hundreds of volunteers in a number of community based programs including Auxiliary Constables, Block Parent, Citizens on Patrol, Rural Crime Watch, Crime Stoppers, Drug Awareness, School Liaison Programs and more.
