British Columbia has a network of Dams in Columbia river valley to generate electricity. During the filling of the reservoir of Mica Creek Dam notable seismicity was experienced (magnitude 4-5 on Richter scale). The reservoir induced seismicity at the location can be very helpful in ascertaining the behavior of seismicity related to impounding of reservoirs.
