This is the web-site of Keith Reynolds of Cold Lake, Alberta,
Canada. My prime purpose in creating this web site was to
include all the Family tree data that I have accumulated over
the past years. The gathering of names has almost made the name "The
Reynolds Collection" redundant as so many names and families have been added.
The data and surnames could be of interest to almost anyone with roots in
Charlotte County, New Brunswick.
If you would like to inform me of any changes, additions or deletions, or comments favourable or otherwise,
please e-mail me at: keanne@telus.net.
Contrary to the name, Cold Lake, Alberta is one of the
finest places in the world to live. Try our City web-site for more
information or have a look at our local Golf Course.
Now lets get to the Genealogy
part of this Web site.
When I originally started researching my family tree, my intention
was to find out where my "REYNOLDS" Ancestors came from.
Now, years later, I have almost 3200 names in my GEDCOM file and
still am not sure where the first Reynolds in my family tree came from.
This Family tree is based on the Ancestors, Decendants and close
relatives of the late Harry Reynolds of Blackland, NB.
For those of you who don't know where Blackland is, it lies between St Stephen
and Old Ridge on Highway #3. Blackland as a district seemed to
disappear when the School was torn down.
This Data and History has been compiled and
edited by me, the youngest son of Harry and Jessie Reynolds.
The data gathered is from a great variety of sources. These include
personal "tales" and verified data from a long list of "long-lost" cousins and
friends. Much of the data has been found in the files of the The St Croix
Courier held at the St Stephen Public Library. In addition to the countless
hours spent there, I had the occasion to visit the Archives at the Old Goal in
St Andrews, the Harvey Community Library and the Provincial Archives at UNB.
Under the circumstances, the data is as factual as possible, however variance in
dates and spelling of names makes some of the information to be classed as
"presumptions".
I WOULD APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH IF ANYONE WISHING TO USE ANY OF THE DATA PUBLISHED HERE TO REQUEST PERMISSION AS I DID NOT INTEND FOR PROFESSIONAL GENEALOGISTS AND WEBSITES TO CHARGE A FEE FOR PROVIDING THIS DATATo protect the privacy of the persons listed in this site, I have removed birthdates, addresses, etc. of most of the names.
If you are getting bored with this prelude, please feel free to scan the list of
surnames to see if any of the Names are of
interest to you.
My family tree is divided into various branches. I have written or copied a
Brief History of the early days of each branch. This may give you an insight as
to where each branch fits in.
McGowan Family -- My wifes ancestors
(includes McCanns, Montgomerys and Littles)
Milligan Family -- My grandparents on my
mother's side. Note. New info and photos added
Thomas Family -- Relatives (??) on my father's
side from away back.
