Notes for JOHN FLEMING
He came to Canada in 1821. He received a land grant on 9/10/1869
consisting of 100 Acres described as follows: NW of Dennis Stream,
Blk 0, St James Parish, Charlotte County, N.B. The land was located
in DeWolfe between the "Fur Farm" and the access road to Scotch Ridge
at the old Byron Marshall Place. The land is shown on the Map shown
in Chapter 3L.
"At Dewolfe Corner, St. James, on the 19th inst., Mr John Fleming,
aged 82 years and six months. Deceased was a native of County Down
Ireland but had been a resident of this Province for upwards of 48
years. He lived and died respected by all. He was a zealous member
of the Masonic Fraternity. His end was peace."
