A little lady just days old
Long slender hands and rosebud lips
Has come to join the family fold
And wrapped us 'round her fingertips

How can it be, that one so wee
Has captured hearts and minds alike
And we as adults wait to see
Her every move with such delight

Babes it seems light the fires of dreams
In parents and kin whose lives they touch
Our wishes and prayers in silence said
For those wee babes we love so much

Duty we have, to these new souls
That is to love without reserve
In this gift are wings to soar
T'is a gift each one derserves
