This quilt piece is from my aunties at FML:) Click on it, and you will see the page they made just for me as well, I think it's beautiful :)

Grandma Linda wrote this poem for mommy. Mommy thought it would be nice to add it to my gifts page :)

The Joy of You

First there was you - nestled close to my heart.
Your life a delicious secret, to linger over and savor
In the still, lonley nights of my youth.
The last of my childhood, the beginning of yours.

Then the awe of first looks, perfection in a tiny hand.
A glimpse of heaven and miracles in newly opened eyes.
Discovering love that never fades, that only grows stronger with each new smile.
You became my heart, my existance, and together we entered the times of your childhood.

Mommy, can you tell me why?
Mommy, can you kiss my hurt?
Mommy, let me do it!
Mommy, are you proud of me?
Mom, do I have to?
Mom, I want to be with my friends.
Mom, I'm not a child anymore!
Mom, it's my life, and I know what I want!
Mom, I'm leaving home.
Mom, I'd like you to meet someone special.
GUESS WHAT MOM, I'M GOING TO HAVE A BABY!

Now here you are my precious child, an adult at last.
We have made it through the trials and joys of your growing.
The tears, the laughter, pain, happiness and regrets of life's lessons.
I look back along childhood's trails, wishing your path easier.
Regretting all the rimes of sorrow, of misunderstandings and lost time.
Wishing I could have given you more - a life with no sadness,
A life filled with only happiness and love.

Never regretting the choice I made
For you, my darling daughter,
How enriched my life and made my world a heaved
With your presence.

And now to you pass the joys of the special love,
Motherhood.

This Fairy was given to me by my mom's friend Tracy, AKA the Emerald Fairy. This is a Blessing fae, to ensure my long and happy life :)
