Welcome to my online Dwarven stronghold. This is where I will discuss things that I've learned while collecting, painting and playing my Warhammer Dwarven army. I have several links listed to the side that will take you to different areas of interest. Please feel free to send me e-mail with comments, questions, or suggestions! Ok, ok. So I haven't exactly been updating this a whole lot over the last few months, BUT I'm back now after having an incredibly busy summer being employed. My dwarves have lately taken a back seat due to me trying to finish at least *one* 1500 point army and choosing my Skaven Skryre as the one to complete. It of course isn't finished still, so I figured I might as well start working on dwarves again. So here's at least *some* more new things posted to get you by :).

*Battle report posted: October 4th battle vs. Orcs and Goblins*

This battle was a close one - nearly a draw, in fact. Also the first time we've attempted a battle set in a canyon. Very interesting things can happen when you're using a pool table as your battlefield....

*Battle report posted: April 15th battle vs. Orcs and Goblins*

Finally! A victory for Thorin Skullsplitter after many attempts at defeating evil! I will try and keep my battle reports as up to date as possible, as I have a tendency to forget details if I wait too long to report it :)

*1500 Anti-Orcs & Goblins Army posted*

Another iteration of my 1500 point army. Don't take this as the final draft though - I of course already have changes in mind!

**coming soon** I've decide to include a "Grudges" page instead of a "Links" page because 1) I'm having trouble finding Dwarf links really and 2) I thought it would be a great in-character idea. So, look forward to that being up in a couple weeks!

Well, I've finally got the menu buttons done - ya like? :) It only took me about an hour to put together; somehow everything just clicked (literally) and I really like the way it looks. As for other things, I'm still working on getting battle report links up and my 1500 point army listed (since I've been playing with 1500 points in the last two battles).

Background

I haven't really been playing the Dwarves (or Warhammer for that matter) for very long; only about a year and since the beginning I've been intrigued by the game and painting and collecting an army. The Dwarves were not my first choice actually as an army. My first selection was the Wood Elves, but since the miniatures (and the army book) are due for revision in the distant future, I decided to devote my attention to the other army that first caught my eye, which were the Skaven. Unfortunately, they too were up for revision, so my thoughts turned towards the Dwarves.
Why was I interested in them? Well, they seemed like a nice, sturdy and powerful army which would be fairly easy to play (compared to my other armies) and easy to collect since they were just re-designed. As I've been collecting them, however, my fondness grows : ). Their stalwart behavior is so truly Dwarven, as is their love for ores and ale. They are fiercly loyal to one another, and especially strong in combat, which is only to be admired.
