Here are some photos of my Dwarves for your viewing pleasure. I apologize for the quality of the photos - I have to use the same video camera Scott does, so until we get a digital camera, this is the best I can do. I also don't have all of them painted or based (obviously), so I'll keep updating them as I go.

I'm basically going with a green/blue/white theme for this army; alternating which colors are more dominant for each unit for disctinction. I'm not sure if this particular color theme belongs to an existing stronghold, so if you know, let me know so I can name my army accordingly! I just thought the colors worked well together and won't match too badly if I decide to have a Wood Elf army :).

Here's a tentative color/symbol scheme for my army. I'll eventually have pictures of just the shields for each unit so you can see them better:

Longbeards:       Blue armor trim w. silver studs, blue kilts and either blue or green jerkins and pants. Shields are half blue, half green w. a golden eagle crest.

Warriors:       White armor trim, blue jerkins and either blue or green kilts and pants. Their shields will be a silver smith's hammer with silver trim and either a solid blue or solid white background.

Slayers:       Since I don't have very many of them and they're all pretty individualistic, I'm not going to do much in the way of consistant colors for them besides keeping the colors of pants to: blue, green, white, brown and grey.

As I get more troops painted(i.e. Rangers (if I have them), Ironbreakers and Thunderers, I'll add in their schemes as well.

Longbeards - These guys are fierce in battle and fun to paint! I've been having a great time painting all the 'fiddley' bits on these guys, as they always carry around various tankards and pipes with them into battle (the bare necessities, of course!). My favorite part to paint has been the beards - it gives each indiviual Longbeard their own sense of character.
The Longbeard Musician - I don't have the entire Longbeard command painted yet, but I thought I'd just throw this guy in for now - he looks so happy with his tankard :).
Longbeard shields - Here you can get a better view of the theme for my shields. Well, you can't really tell that I have two colors in the background behind the eagle's crest: half green, half blue. The border is actually silver although it looks gold. I thought the eagle was appropriate for veteran troops.
Dwarf Warrior Command - (left to right: Musician, Champion, Standard Bearer)These were the first Dwarves that I assembled and let me tell you, they're MUCH easier than Skaven - no tails!! I decided to make them a bit flashy since the general warriors are, well, general-looking; hence all the metallics. My favorite is the musician - I actually used the head and beard that were supposed to go on the standard bearer because I thought it worked better.
Dwarf Warriors - For painting these guys, I've found the easiest way to approach assembling is to paint as much as you can while the part is still on the sprew. That way you don't have heads and arms loose while you're trying to put several together at the same time (I usually forget which piece goes with which). It kind of sucks to have to go back and sand off the nubs left by the sprew, but in my mind, it's much easier!
One slayer among many - These guys are very simple and very fun to paint! I haven't detailed his eyes yet, which I should do because a sightless stare coming from a death-wish troop is more than just a little uncanny. I also hope to get some clear varnish so I can actually put jewels in his beard decoration. I should note that this particular model was able to fend off a whole unit of nightgoblins for two turns!
