To tell you the truth, I don't reallt recall the details of this battle. What vague recollections I have involve a Squig Herd running rampant over the field and taking out an entire contingent of Longbeards. I also recall that my Black Orcs once again failed to make it into combat, and that my Fanatics were reasonably destructive, particularly against the Black Orcs (doh!). Oh, and the Night Goblins got shot up by Thunderers at range before finally wiping them out in close combat. Perhaps I remember all this better than I'd thought after all. The army list for this engagement was nonstandard, so details are provided below. I fielded a number of units I didn't have any models for, as I wanted to test their capabilities before investing. At this point, I'm seriously reconsidering my fixation on Black Orcs. I tend to keep them restrained at the center of my army to quell animosity, which is occasionally helpful but in the long run just keeps the Black Orcs out of combat. I think my tactical possibilities could open up a lot more if I either moved the Black Orcs freely or just didn't use them at all. |
