Battle Report: November 12, 2001
Opponent: Vampire Counts
Army Size: 1000 Points
Result: Loss

Ugh, this was an absolute rout. We opted to utilize a rather huge piece of terrain, which forced most of my troops down a narrow gap whilst I sent my contingent of archers up a cliffside. They were met there by all of my opponent's fliers and ethereals, who promptly destroyed my main force from the flank. A key problem with my army was obviously maneuverability, but Boar Boyz unfortunately aren't really a valid option with this small of a force. I need to protect my wizards more in order to maintain my ability to attack at range.

I used a temporary list for this battle, comprised solely of units I actually had models for. Troop dispositions can be viewed below. This will likely be the last time I ever field archers in anything less than a 2500 point army - they border on worthless and are a complete waste of points. I'm also reluctant to use my Boar Chariot. It's hard to kill, but it generally only gets to charge once and isn't all that effective without some sort of cavalry support.
