Battle Report: November 16, 2001
Opponent: Vampire Counts
Army Size: 1000 Points
Result: Loss

Well, here's a weird one. All was going well, apart from a difficult unit of Squigs who refused to charge a regiment of Skeletons for pretty much the whole battle. I'd done everything I felt I needed to do to win short of killing off the Necromancer general. The Banshee was dead, Bat Swarms were dead, and I was keeping his numbers down with magic missile attacks. So what happened? I got overrun by Zombies. Yes, you heard that right. My undoing was a unit of shambing mindless Zombies. It was dumb luck really. They won a combat and ended up pursuing into fresh troops, then it was rinse, lather, and repeat until I was completely smegged (not that any Greenskins or Undead likely ever wash).

I used a nonstandard list again for this one to test out some new unit ideas, so my troop dispositions are provided below. My Big 'Uns kept getting stuck due to animosity, but once they actually saw combat I must say I was suitably impressed. I also don't think you'll ever catch me without Warboss Umm's Best 'At for my Goblin Shaman. That thing saved him numerous times, and was well worth it's points value. I finally got to cast the Fists of Mork - I love that spell!
